Merry Christmas to all……

What a wonderful term and week at school we have had. We are thankful for all the blessings. In the past week we have celebrated Mass, had a visit from Santa, decorated cookies provided by School Council, had a wonderful Christmas Concert, and an assembly to celebrate our students.

Please join me in extending our deepest thanks to School Council and all the volunteers for the hard work and dedication that went into planning and preparing Cookies with Santa. We are so fortunate.

Please join me in thanking all the staff and students for the hard work and preparation that went into the Christmas Concert. Such talented students and such dedicated staff made this a wonderful event. We are blessed to have a staff that works so hard and cares so much.

Please join me in thanking Father and St. Ambrose parish. We are blessed to have such a caring parish to work alongside with.

The Staff of St. Anne would like to extend to you, a very Merry Christmas! Take some time to relax over the holidays and enjoy the company of family and friends. We look forward to seeing all of you again on January 7th, 2019!

A Christmas Creed

I believe in Jesus Christ and in the beauty of the gospel begun in Bethlehem.

I believe in the one whose spirit glorified a little town;
And whose spirit still brings music to persons all over the world
In towns both large and small.

I believe in the one for whom the crowded inn could find no room,
And I confess that my heart still sometimes wants to exclude Christ from my life today.

I believe in the one who the rulers of the earth ignored
and the proud could never understand;
whose life was among common people,
whose welcome came from persons of hungry hearts.

I believe in the one who proclaimed the love of God to be invincible.

I believe in God who gives us the best of himself.

I believe in Jesus, the son of the living God, born in Bethlehem this night, for me and for the world.

May God grant you the light in Christmas, which is Faith;
The warmth of Christmas, which is love;
The radiance of Christmas, which is purity;
The righteousness of Christmas, which is justice;
The belief in Christmas, which is truth;
The all of Christmas, which is Christ.

Amen.

Merry Christmas from the staff of St Anne. God bless you and your family.  See you all in 2019!

Christmas for many families can present a number of challenges.  Poverty, substance use, family violence, stress, mental health challenges and a lack of structure (i.e.: school!)  can all be reasons for families to not be so “merry” at Christmas time.  Lengthy vacations like the Christmas season can be overwhelming for some families.  There are many resources in our community that can assist families throughout this season.

Update……

Hello Families,

Here are some updates from St. Ambrose Parish!

A Family Rosary will take place on Friday, Dec. 14th at 6:30pm at St. Ambrose Church. All families and children of ALL ages are welcome, no child is too young nor too old to attend. After the Rosary we will have fellowship in the church basement. Please bring a snack to share. Refreshments will be provided. Please use side door off the parking lot. “To pray the Rosary for children, and even more, with children, training them from their earliest years to experience this daily “pause for prayer” with the family, is admittedly not the solution to every problem, but it is a spiritual aid which should not be underestimated” Saint Pope John Paul II

Children’s Mass will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16th at 11:00 am. Families with young children are invited to attend this Mass.  Children will be invited to sit in the Sanctuary for the homily.  Everyone is welcome! ….. What Is “Bambinelli Sunday?” Each year on the Third Sunday of Advent, children gather with their families in St. Peter’s Square for “Bambinelli Sunday.” The children bring with them figurines of the Christ Child — the “Bambinelli” — from their family’s Nativity scene. Here at St. Ambrose Parish, we invite children to bring their baby Jesus to our Children’s Mass on December 16th and Father Irek will bless their “bambinelli” baby Jesus figurine.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Blessings.
