Grade 8 Graduates…..

Hello Families,

We would like to take a moment to celebrate our Grade 8 Graduates…

Graduation from Grade 8 is a milestone.  It is a visible sign to you, your friends and your family that as young adults you are ready to move on to greater challenges and to accept greater responsibilities.

In order to graduate you have to demonstrate an understanding of the work and commitment required to make your own luck and achieve success.

I speak on behalf of all staff when I say we are grateful to you – the graduates of 2020. You have been pillars for students in the future to stand on, and you have done so exceptionally!

Please journey in the knowledge that we wish you every blessing and success.

We are very proud of you.  Congratulations!

Last chance to pick up……

Hello Families,

Our Yearbooks have arrived!

If you ordered one, the pickup day is this Thursday, June 25, from 10:00-2:00. Please enter the gym from the blacktop at the back of the school following the same safety procedures we shared for last weeks access.

We still have some report cards and personal items to be picked up, so those families are welcome to come during this time as well.

Our grade 8 students will each be receiving a yearbook as a gift from the school, so we encourage you to pick them up on Thursday. If you won an award – grade 8’s can also pick up their plaque.

Any items that have not been picked up will be saved until the fall when we hope to be back in the building together.

Be well. Stay safe.

NOW’S THE TIME!! Kindergarten Registration is STILL OPEN! Sign up for School Today!!

Several years ago, the WCDSB established a very easy-to-use online pre-registration portal to make the registration process as convenient as possible.

Parents of children scheduled to begin JK in September 2020, are encouraged to complete the pre-registration process as soon as possible.

There will still need to be some in-person contact with the school, but that will be handled at an appropriate time after the COVID-19 crisis has passed.

For non-Catholic families wishing to register in a WCDSB elementary school, your school Principal will reach out to you to complete the required interview process – again – at an appropriate time in in the most appropriate manner, including via phone.

Please CLICK HERE for all the information you need to start the registration process!

Grade 8 Parents……

Hello Families,

If you have a child in grade 8, this is just an FYI that while there is a great deal to pick up Thursday and Friday during your access time, unfortunately our graduation composite and yearbooks have been delayed. Individual grad photos did arrive. We apologise but will make arrangements in the fall.

You child has been notified by their classroom teacher about our remote graduation ceremony @ 6:30, Tuesday June 23rd. Mr. Hertner and Mrs. Launslager will send over google classroom the information for how to log in to the ceremony.

This is certainly a new way to celebrate graduation, but we hope to honour our amazing Phoenix kids.

Be well,

St. Anne School Staff

Keep your chromebook………..

Hello Families,

We wanted to let you know that if you received a chromebook for remote learning – you can KEEP IT over the summer. It does not have to be returned until the next school year. There are many summer programs being offered we know students can benefit from, and the use of a chromebook may be required. There are many great educational and fun activities they can be engaging in over the summer, so we hope you find it useful.

This now includes our grade 8 students as well.

We will look after returning them when we see what school will look like in the fall.

Be well,

St. Anne School Staff
