For Bus Students…

Hello Families,

With our recent positive COVID case we have worked through contact tracing on two of our busses, only to learn several students have not been riding. We are required to submit a seating plan to Public Health for contact tracking and precious time is wasted calling out to families who do not ride the bus.

If you qualify for the bus, but you have no plans to ride, you are required to fill out a “Do not Ride” form with STSWR.

Here is the link: https://www.stswr.ca/policies/information-for-parents-students/do-not-ride/

This will help with more efficient route planning and contact tracing when we have a positive case.

We greatly appreciate your support.

Be well,

St. Anne Update/Reminders…

Hello Families,

As COVID 19 continues to present challenges, we wanted to take a few moments to share the following reminders….

You are asked to complete the daily self-screening with your children before coming to school:

https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/

Please stay home if kids are exhibiting even one symptom.

We are limiting access to the school so in most cases, you will be asked to wait outside when coming by for different reasons.

If your child develops symptoms at school, we will be calling you for a pickup and we are required to send siblings home as well. Please note Ministry has mandated that:

This isolation period for the symptomatic individual can end when ANY of the following happen:

  • There is a negative COVID-19 test
  • There is an alternate diagnosis from a medical professional
  • 10 days have passed since the symptom started, and it has not gotten worse, however the remainder of the household must isolate for 14 days after the last contact with the symptomatic individual

This isolation period for the asymptomatic family members can end when ANY of the following happen:

  • The negative test results are received and confirmed
  • There is an alternate diagnosis from a medical professional
  • 14 days have passed since the last contact with the symptomatic family member (if there is no test result or alternate medical diagnosis

While we know the challenges this presents, please have a back up plan for pick up and child care should your children need to be at home.

We thank you for all the amazing support and understanding this wonderful community has shared with our school and staff.
