Welcome ……

Hello Families and welcome back to another exciting school year. We sincerely hope that everyone is having an enjoyable summer spending time with family and friends.

We have an exciting year of school planned for you. The staff and School Council are already working hard to ensure our school is a great place to learn and grow.

Please share this message if you know of any new families to our community who have not yet signed up for our NewsWire.

New registrations are being accepted the week of August 26th but please call the school to set up a time as office staff are attending meetings and hours will fluctuate.

The first day back at School is Tuesday, September 3rd. Supervision begins on the yard at 9:05 with the opening bell @ 9:20.

Weather permitting, we will gather on the black top as a community for O Canada and prayer. We will then break out by division to announce class lists.

Please note the following:

  • Primary students (grades 1-3) will gather in the gym and teachers will call class lists
  • Junior students (grades 4-6) will gather by the basketball nets and teachers will call class lists
  • Intermediate students (grades 7-8) will gather by the portables and teachers will call class lists
  • JK/SK students will have already received a separate phone call about their staggered entry start date. JK/SK students do not attend on the first day of school.
  • In the event of rain we will gather in the gym

Once lists are called, teachers will take students to class to begin the day and parents are asked to depart at that time.

Please note that our meet the teacher BBQ is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17th.

2019-2020 will be a great year of school. Please enjoy the remainder of the summer and we will see you all September 3rd.

Kind regards,

St. Anne School Staff

Prayer for the end of the school year……

At the end of this school year we give thanks to God:

For all the teaching and learning that has taken place in our school,

both in and out of the classroom,

For the talents and gifts that have been shared and the challenges that have been faced;

For the burdens that have been lifted and the hurts that have been healed;

For the respect and care that has been given.

We give thanks for the friendships that have just begun and for those that have grown.

For the faith that has been lived in our daily struggles,

For the hope that has lifted our hearts on the dark days And for the love that has kept us going.

We give thanks for the community that we are, and we ask you Lord – Bless our students, may your Spirit inspire them with confidence and calmness

Bless our families as we take our holidays, may our time together leave us with memories to cherish.

Pour out your love on us that we may return renewed and refreshed to continue our journey together .

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Mission day thank you……

Hello families,

What a success Mission Day was. It would not have happened without all the volunteers who spent the day working so hard – thank you.

Zehrs – our community partner – wow. They donated food, showed up with volunteers, BBQ’ d in the hot sun and supported our kids – thank you.

Our staff planned, organized and ran so many incredible activities going above and beyond – thank you.

Parents and families came by to fully support this event and we thank you.

Our custodial staff are working extra hard to clean up after all the action. This is going above and beyond, and we thank you for the extra work.

Special days like this can only happen when we all work together!

Our thanks to everyone……….
