We have a very important update to share with you. Over the past several weeks, registration at the WCDSB’s remote school, St. Isidore, has significantly increased. Close to 30% of our school population has opted to attend at St. Isidore.
To support the staffing increase at St. Isidore, the WCDSB has created a staffing surplus at many schools, including St. Anne. As a result, our Vice principal and two classroom teachers have been reassigned.
This staffing surplus means we are required to move some classroom teachers into new grade assignments. Furthermore, many of our students will be moved into new class settings.
While we most certainly understand that a change in classrooms comes with challenges, the numbers are such that we have no other option.
The staff have worked hard to create updated class lists that will come into effect on Tuesday, October 13th. Teachers will be outside greeting students and to show classes where to line up.
You will be receiving a letter later today if your child is moving classes.
This classroom change will take effect on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020.
For those families who may wish to consider attending St. Isidore moving forward, please note that the next opportunities for registration are as follows:
|Opportunity to Change||Date the Change of Class
would Take Effect
|Window Opens to request a change||Deadline for Requesting Change|
Following Progress Reporting Period
|November 23, 2020||November 4th
|November 06, 2020

|February 16, 2021 (day after Family Day Holiday)||January 27th

We thank you kindly for your patience and understanding as we work thought this transition together.
