Hello Families,

Please see the attached letter from Public Health.

Parent Letter COVID-19_Outbreak_ (002)

In addition to the confirmed variant of concern (VOC) we communicated, there has been an additional positive case within a class cohort. Public Health is further communicating an outbreak. The Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health have defined a school outbreak as two or more lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in students and/or staff in a school with an epidemiological link, within a 14-day period, where at least one case could have reasonably acquired their infection in the school.

This class will continue to self-isolate as per Public Health direction.

No additional classrooms or cohorts will be dismissed.  No further action is required for the current classrooms that have been dismissed. We are working with Region of Waterloo Public Health to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in students, staff and the community.

Public Health is required to post all school outbreaks on their website.  They will be updating this tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.  It will include the school’s name and number of cases.

Please call Public Health with any questions.

We know that managing COVID cases has been a challenge for everyone. We thank you for your support and understanding.

Thank you,

St. Anne School Staff
